At The Steve And Julie Show

Everyone listens to the radio; mainly while driving a car. You hate it now because these bigger radio stations are now syndicating the big name shows from Ryan Seacrest and other shows from New York or Los Angeles. There is hardly any local talent that is heard outside of the morning drive shows. After the morning shows are done; most radio stations will go to a computer and the speaker you hear on the radio is some person from New York or Los Angeles. They can record their segments in under an hour for hundreds of radio stations. But they often leave out important community news and events. Who cares about what is going on in your local community they just care about what the Kardashian’s did or who is the latest celebrity to get in trouble with the law.

That is why you should listen to radio stations that is outside of big markets like Birmingham or Atlanta. They only care about making a profit. The local stations around here like 97.9 WVOK; Mix 102.9; Z 93.1; or Thunder 92.7 uses only local talent. They care about what is going on here in NE Alabama. They don’t use some nationally syndicated show from New York or Los Angeles. What to know what is going on in your community; listen to a local radio station that uses local talent. And do not feed the big radio stations that is always hungry for money.

I will go visit the radio station 97.9 WVOK to see Steve Stevens and Julie Daniels do their morning show.

It does not look much like a radio station on the outside. In fact they even have a car garage in the back.

They can have fun every morning. They do segments like Julie’s impossible trivia; listener of the week; news of the weird; therapy Thursday; Steve’s sleaze; and does games and crazy stunts as well. So do you want to know your community happenings and even win prizes for local things. Always listen to an local radio station.
