This week on Roadscapes Wednesday I take you to Alabama route 281 or the Talladega Scenic Drive. This road traverses along an mountain ridge and its main connection is Cheaha State Park. There are many great spots along the road to pull off and look at the great scenery.
These photos are at the intersection of AL-281 and AL-49. This intersection sees very little traffic as the road is only paved out of cheap gravel.
This is one of the biggest hills on the entire road. This is a tough climb for people riding a bike or walking.
These last two pictures are along CR-24 heading down back into Oxford. Yes someone spray painted a green line onto one of the signs.
